What is an election snapshot?
An Election Snapshot is an archive your election results and voting record for review at a later date. When a snapshot is generated, it captures the election data and results at that specific date and time.
To generate an election snapshot, navigate to My Elections from the main navigation on the left and complete the following steps:
My Election Snapshot - Add an optional snapshot comment to indicate why or when you chose to take the snapshot.
- Click "Make Snapshot". The snapshot that is created will display at the bottom of your screen on the My Elections page.
- The following snapshot "Actions" are available:
- View: Click View to see the vote counts/results at the time of the snapshot
- Export: Click Export to export a results report that reflects the data in the snapshot
- Ballot Language: This page allows you to see the ballot information (positions, candidates, pictures, biographies, bylaws and propositions) and wording that was included on your ballot
- Site Text: This page will display all of the instruction blocks throughout your election site. If you changed any wording in "Edit Site Instructions" those changes will be saved here.
- Configuration: This page displays the settings that were selected at the time of the snapshot
- Delete: Click Delete if you want to remove the snapshot from your "My Elections" page. Once deleted, you will not be able to retrieve the data from the snapshot.
