We now have a tool available to upload your ballot information! We recommend using the upload tool when you have a long ballot, with multiple positions, candidates, and bylaws and propositions.
A file template named "Ballot Upload Template.csv" has been attached to this article. Please use this as a template to get started.
The following chart displays the headings that should be used in each column as well as what type of information should be included in those columns:
The following image shows a sample of how your .csv file should look prior to upload:
When you have entered all of the information in to your .csv file, you will be ready to use the upload tool!
To upload, please follow these steps:
1. Open your voting manager portal and navigate to Ballot > Upload CSV
2. Scroll down to the section titled "CSV File Upload" (see image below) and review the default settings for your upload.
3. Click the "Choose file" button to browse and select your file
4. Click Upload CSV File
5. You should see a green bar at the top of the screen that says "Success: CSV file received."
6. Match the headers displayed with the columns in your database. If you used our template, the columns will automatically match for you
7. At the bottom of the page, click "Apply Column Matching"
8. The next page will display the number of new records, updated records, rejected records and excluded records in your upload file.
9. If the number of records looks correct, click "Click Here to Complete Upload" (see image below)
10. The uploader tool will process your file and upload the records.
11. Go to Ballot > Preview to view your updated ballot
